    We were generally unimpressed at how much the railway had to offer. We did go on the 11.45 steam train which was lovely as a train but it didn't go very far - through a housing estate and just industrial areas. The playground was so small, not big enough for the amount of children there. The miniature railway was a bit of a joke, we got on not knowing it only went about 10 metres between the trains. Although the 'free' (bowl with a big sign asking for tips) face painting and temporary tattoos seemed a nice touch there was only 1 woman doing this and with 4 children in front of my 3 year old in the queue there was no way he would wait! Having model railways set up and stalls that you could buy parts just didn't fit in, it was like a car boot of older men selling their wares! A £29 price tag on a visit that lasted under an hour is really steep. We did everything you had to offer but came away unimpressed. I felt embarrassed I had brought my Mum with us on a day out only for her to say 'They shouldn't be allowed to advertise this on Facebook [where I saw the day out] when it's so poor. People will come expecting a good day out'. Did contact the museum directly. Poor customer service. Rude response from the director (!). Avoid!
